Born in ’84 - Swedish cinematographer Fredrik Olsson is a diverse and dedicated filmmaker who rather speaks through images than words.
Curious and innovative with experience of working both analog and digital around the world. The large variety of productions has developed a sensitivity and deep understanding for the cinematic visual artform.
His early years spent as an editor got him a position in post-production, working on major features at the beginning of the digital era.
Gaining lots of experience from assisting acclaimed cinematographers on set, accompanied by film and art studies in Stockholm led to further studies at the notorious polish film school in Łódź.
After graduating with an MA in Fine Arts and joining the Swedish Society of Cinematographers (FSF) he’s feature film debut, shot in Mexico premiered at the Berlinale film festival.
Fredrik’s passionate about simplistic and natural lighting and shoots every film with the aim to find the best visual expression to each unique story.
